Lisa® color is created by BWF utilizing the Bayer, A.G. dyes in combination with the various acrylic components traditionally used by BWF in its acrylic extrusion process. The principal acrylic used for the standard range of Lisa® stock items is PMMA acrylic, for high-impact resistance. Available on special request is the PC (polycarbonate) acrylic version, ideal for use in public areas where smoke, toxicity or other physical requirements necessitate the use of polycarbonate acrylics.

LISAplex SpecificationsIlluminated columns and Pedestals - decorative column conditions utilizing illuminated LISA + BWF acrylics. Available on special order as well are any of BWF's more than 3,000 standard profile shapes, or if applications require, special tooling can be provided. The BWF program offers profiles for use in Shopfitting (store fixture), Display (P.O.P./P.O.S.), Lighting, Signage, Exterior and General applications (geometric shapes). Note that special orders and custom tooling require minimum runs and lead-times. Utilizing Lisa's® unique properties, structural components (traditionally available only in aluminum, pvc, wood or clear acrylic), can now become optical components as well. Lisa® allows value to be added in such applications, at minimal additional cost. Utilizing only existing illumination in such applicatons, Lisa® can produce unusual and unique results at the most reasonable of costs.
Lisaplex ColorsThree styles of Lisa® colors are offered by BWF, these being translucent (clear colored), pigmented (opaque colored) and co-extruded (white central core, surrounded by translucent color). Each style is available in round rod, while all other profile shapes are stocked in the translucent version only. Pigmented styles are available only on special order.

These
special dyes have the unique property of collecting UV light, changing wavelength,
then emitting light. When exposed to virtually any amount of UV, they begin
"glowing." This effect achieves its zenith when the Lisa® profiles
are exposed to "blacklight" (see information on Illumination).
